Types
of therapy to help you release your emotional
problems in Bedford, Milton Keynes and Northampton
There are three types of
therapy available:
Suggestion
Therapy, Pure
Analytical Hypnotherapy and Rapid Release Therapy
The choice of therapy is
based upon several factors,
most notably; the type of problem or symptom presented, the needs and
goals of the client and the therapy best suited to the personality of
the client.
Suggestion Therapy
This is the most common
therapy used within the
hypnotherapy industry. Suggestions for changes in behaviour, habits and
perception are made whilst in hypnosis and, because the subconscious
mind is constantly seeking to help us improve our lives, positive
suggestions are literally "soaked up" and put into practice.
This therapy works superbly
well for habits (i.e.
smoking
and nail-biting) but will not remove significant levels of
underlying anxiety so is not suitable for permanent removal of
deep-seated problems such as phobias, depression and panic attacks.
It can however be used for
one-off situations which will
not arise frequently, for example fear of flying, or when time
limitations apply.
It's also a very
effective technique used with sports
people, enabling them to tap into their peak potential and to help
business people feel 'more motivated' to close that sale!
Pure Analytical Hypnotherapy
Our personality is, to a
large extent, moulded during
our childhood, based upon our environment, our relationships and events
arising during that time.
For some people one aspect
of their lives or one single
event may have a profound affect upon their personality and this can
produce fears,
phobias or habits which will significantly impact upon
their adult lives.
Pure Analytical
Hypnotherapy can be used with adults
(over the age of 20 years) in order to seek the root cause of their
problem/symptom. Once the cause has been established, the
problem/symptom will disappear.
In this therapy,
hypnosis is used to allow the
subconscious mind the freedom to release anxiety - a natural process
which is often bypassed due to our own desires not to face up to
difficult or upsetting events.
Rapid Release Therapy
For
some people a worrying thought, a fear, phobia or distressing memory
seems to keep hold of them no matter what they do, and no matter how
much they
talk about it...perhaps the time when you had a bumpy flight and now
you can’t bear
to fly, or when you were small and had to have a jab and now you hate
needles. Or maybe it’s much more recent;
your relationship break-up and the way you just can’t let the feelings
go, or
the accident that you replay over and over in your mind.
For
people like you, we use the Rapid Release Therapy to ‘dig up’ the
old memories and distressing feelings and replace them with more
positive,
helpful feelings...you’re not going to start loving dentists but you’ll
be fine
in the dentist’s chair, as Sofia found ...

"Just
to let you
know I went to my dental appointment this morning and had to have 4
injections
in my mouth, at first I was slightly worried because I didn’t have time
to
imagine my ‘safe place’, but by the time he put the next needle in I
was
completely fine and calm.
It definitely was not as traumatic and painful
as I used to believe it was. I’m just emailing to say how grateful and
appreciative I am, it really has helped me so much!"
